Naidu launches MSEFC portal and MyMSME app, for MSME sector

The Dollar Business Bureau Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu launched two important initiatives of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), viz. Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council (MSEFC) portal and MyMSME Mobile App on the occasion of the 15th meeting of the National Board for MSME on Thursday. Minister for MSME Kalraj Mishra, Minister of State for MSME Giriraj Singh and Minister of State for MSME Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary were also present at the occasion. MSMEs in India need to reposition due to global challenges : Global SME Summit 2016

Manishika Miglani “India is a market that needs to reposition itself in the backdrop of challenges faced by the MSME sector due to globalisation 2.0,” said Surendra Nath Tripathi, Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner, Government of India while addressing the 13th Global SME Summit 2016 organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in New Delhi. Mauritius to offer biofarming technology to India

The Dollar Business Bureau    Mauritius has agreed to transfer its biofarming technology to India and enhance cooperation with the country, especially in the health sector. On Thursday, India’s Minister for MSME (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises) Kalraj Mishra and Mauritius’s Minister of Business Soomilduth Sunil Bholah held first India-Mauritius Joint Committee Meeting in New Delhi. Marginal drop in estimates of MSME contribution to Indias exports in FY2013-14

 The Dollar Business Bureau The estimated share of MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) sector’s contribution in India’s total export for the year 2013-2014 dipped marginally to 42.40% from 43% both for the financial years 2011-12 and 2012-2013. “The estimates were arrived based on the export data maintained by Director General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics, Ministry of Commerce,” said Giriraj Singh, Minister of State, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The estimated contribution of MSME sector (including service segment) to GDP during 2010-11, 2011-12 & 2012-13 are 36.69%, 37.97% & 37.54% respectively.
