Smriti Irani inaugurates 44th edition of IHGF-Delhi 2017
Aamir H Kaki Textiles Minister Smriti Irani on Thursday inaugurated the 44th edition of Indian Handicrafts and Gift Fair (IHGF) 2017, organised by Exports Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), at India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. In her address, she said, “I hope that the delegates who will come to attend the IHGF from over 100 countries would have more and more B2B engagements with the representatives and export houses, which are exhibiting their products at the Fair. Irani congratulated the EPCH for taking initiatives to take care of the education of children of artisans, working with the industry and export houses. “For education, 25% cost would be borne by the export house itself and 75% by the EPCH CSR activities,” ...
Industry expects good number of foreign buyers at IHGF
Aamir H KakiThe exporters and SMEs showcasing their handicrafts at the Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Fair (IHGF) Delhi Fair Spring 2017, are hoping for a good number of buyers from international as well as domestic markets.While speaking to The Dollar Business, A.S. Rehil, Chief Operating Officer, Masomex, said, “It is too early to say anything about the buyers as today is the first day of the Fair. I can see a lot of buyers and footfalls in the exhibition. But it depends how it is going to result at the end of the day. Handicrafts fair begins; exporters to woo 5,000 overseas buyers
Source: PIB, Government of India IHGF Delhi Fair Autumn 2015 will be held from 14 – 18 October, 2015 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, NCR Delhi. Around 2,750 exhibitors including marts, drawn from all over India will be exhibiting home, lifestyles and fashion products spread over 14 halls covering approximately 1,90,000 sq.m. More than 5,000 buyers are expected to source their requirements at this fair. Buyers from countries like USA, UK, Japan, France, Italy, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, China, Australia, Philippines, Hong Kong and many more countries have already confirmed their visit to the fair.
