Mercedes-Benz to bring in BS VI emission models to India in 2018
The Dollar Business Bureau Mercedes Benz is planning to bring in BS VI emission compliant models into India in 2018. A press release to the media said that the company is also willing to forge partnership with oil firms for higher grade oil needed for these models. The car maker has already sought help from various ministries, including Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, which has asked them to get in touch with the oil and gas firms. "We would be ready as early as 2018. The Dollar Business Bureau German car manufacturer in India, Mercedes-Benz is targeting double-digit sales growth this year and wishes to retain its top place in the luxury car segment. “Our outlook in 2017 is to maintain double-digit growth in 2017. In the months of January and February, the sales figures were higher than that of the previous year," said Michael Jopp, Vice President (sales and marketing), Mercedes-Benz India. Unveiling its E-Class modified model in Kolkata on Wednesday, Jopp said the company’s 2016 sales in India had been due to the ban on diesel in Delhi. Mercedes recalls 1 mn cars worldwide due to a starter problem
The Dollar Business Bureau Global auto major Mercedes is recalling around one million cars and SUVs from all over the world due to a starter part, which can overheat and may cause fire. The recall includes certain E-Class, C-Class and CLA cars and GLC and GLA SUVs, from the year 2015 to 2017. Out of a million vehicles to be recalled by the company, around 308,000 cars are from the US only. The Germany-based automobile manufacturer reported 51 fires all over the world, with around 30 in the US. The automaker has not reported any injuries or death due to the problem. Audi targets top-most position in the luxury segment in India
