The Dollar Business Bureau French automobile manufacturer, Renault on Monday announced the commencement of exports of Kwid - its entry-level car and Duster - the popular SUV, to Nepal from its operations in India. Renault marked its entry into the market of Nepal by collaborating with Vishal Group - one of the biggest business groups. This is in line with the company’s strategy to enhance its presence in the region of SAARC, said the company in a statement. The Dollar Business Bureau Nepali traders have expressed their concern that India’s plan to start operations at the new Integrated Check Post (ICP) on Nepal-India border may hurt their trade through Raxaul-Birgunj customs point. India has been preparing to begin operations at the Check Post on its side of the Raxaul-Birgunj border in the state of Bihar. However, the infrastructure is yet to be completed on Nepal’s side of the border. The Dollar Business Bureau   VA TECH WABAG Ltd (WABAG), a leading Indian company in water technology, on Wednesday announced that it has acquired a project for wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Nepal worth Rs.141 crore. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide funds for the project, including its maintenance and operation costs for a 10-year period. “We have kick started the new financial year with an ADB-funded project from Nepal. Our team’s targeted geographies is now yielding good results,” WABAG India Head of Sales, S Natrajan said, in a statement.
