Govt launches a portal and mobile app for Start-ups
The Dollar Business Bureau Following its earlier commitments to catalyse a conducive environment for the startup companies in India, the government on Thursday launched Startup India portal and Mobile app, in line with the Startup India Action Plan put forth by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this year. Modi had officially unveiled the Startup India programme on January 16 this year and had said he would soon introduce a Startup India Action Plan, envisaged to encourage innovative startups. The Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) Secretary Ramesh Abhishek launched the portal and the app in New Delhi on Thursday.
