EU imposes new ADD on Chinese steel products
The Dollar Business Bureau EU Commission took stern action against China, one of the world’s largest steel makers, for swamping the EU markets with steel, flouting international trade agreements. EU imposed a new anti-dumping duty of 35.9% on China’s hot-rolled flat steel generally used in energy pipelines, shipbuilding, gas containers, tubes, pressure vessels etc. EU Trade Commissioner, Cecelia Malmstroem speaking to the media said, EU is trying to protect its struggling steel producers and stop unfair trading practices. “We are continuing to act, when necessary, against unfair trading conditions in the steel sector, and against foreign dumping,” Malmstroem said in a statement. Expanded India-Chile PTA to be in effect from May 16
The Dollar Business Bureau A milestone trade agreement between India and Chile which was approved by the Indian Cabinet on September 6, 2016 will be effected from May 16, 2017. The expanded PTA will benefit both the countries in several ways, as a wide variety of concessions has been agreed upon on a number of tariff lines by both the sides. This would facilitate exporters of both sides to take the advantage of tariff concessions as per the expanded PTA immediately which covers around 96 percent of bilateral trade." India imposes definitive ADD on imports of automobile aluminium radiators from China
The Dollar Business Bureau India has imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty of $22.89 on the imports of Aluminium Radiators, Aluminium Radiator Sub-Assemblies and Aluminium Radiator Core, including in complete knocked down (CKD) or semi-knocked-down (SKD) conditions, for use in used/on road vehicles and generator sets, from China. A notification NO.20/2017-CUSTOMS (ADD) to this effect was released by the DGAD on May 12, 2017. Citing material injury to the domestic industry as a result of the dumping of the goods below the normal value, the DGAD has imposed an anti-dumping duty of $22.89 on Aluminium Radiators, Aluminium Radiator Sub-Assemblies and Aluminium Radiator Core goods for a period of five years.
