Gadkari invites Indo-Americans to participate in Start-up India
The Dollar Business Bureau In an effort to boost Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious ‘Make in India’ initiative, Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, invited Indian-Americans to participate in the Start-Up India movement by taking advantage of the ‘Ease of doing business’ policy. While addressing the Global Indian Technology Professionals Association, organized by Indian origin business mavens in San Francisco, Gadkari stated that Modi-led-government’s groundbreaking policies have resulted in high level of positivity amongst entrepreneurs. Today, India is in the top three in housing the largest number of start-ups. Gadkari urged the Indian origin professionals to bring their innovations and technologies to India, contributing to the chief sectors of economy, particularly infrastructure and agriculture. India, US for high-level bilateral investment treaty
The Dollar Business Bureau India and the United States are likely to enter into a high-level Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) aimed at creating ‘ease of doing business’ environment in India. This was informed by Richard Verma, US Ambassador to India, in his address at the annual general meeting of the American Chamber of Commerce (ACHAM). “We are working on a high-level BIT to make sure that any such treaty is of very high quality,” said the US Ambassador in his address. Both sides are working very hard towards the assessment of the high-level BIT in boosting the investors’ confidence, he added.
