Gadkari invites Indo-Americans to participate in Start-up India

In an effort to boost Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious ‘Make in India’ initiative, Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, invited Indian-Americans to participate in the Start-Up India movement by taking advantage of the ‘Ease of doing business’ policy.

While addressing the Global Indian Technology Professionals Association, organized by Indian origin business mavens in San Francisco, Gadkari stated that Modi-led-government’s groundbreaking policies have resulted in high level of positivity amongst entrepreneurs. Today, India is in the top three in housing the largest number of start-ups.

Gadkari urged the Indian origin professionals to bring their innovations and technologies to India, contributing to the chief sectors of economy, particularly infrastructure and agriculture.

The union minister had assured the entrepreneurs, prospective investors from US of maximum assistance to make ease of doing business a trouble-free procedure.

In a bid to motivate young creative minds to give shape to their ideas in Indian economy which will create employment, Gadkari shared the policy innovations of Indian government with The Indus Entrepreneurs US chapter members.

During the two-day meetings, Gadkari met many Indian origin business enthusiasts, who found government schemes and policies like Atal innovation Mission, Make in India exciting.

Gadkari elucidated the relaxed rules and regulations and other bottle necks in the departments, which were made simpler by the NDA governance.

Gadkari also visited the Book Energy establishment and expressed interest towards next generation energy with updated technologies.

Gadkari stated that the policy initiatives by the government in road transport, highways and shipping sectors have impacted the Indian economy in many positive ways.

The amount of enthusiasm shown by IIT and IIM graduates from India working in US did not go unnoticed by the minister. The Indian origin IIT, IIM graduates were positive about contributing for growth of India.
