Vistara plans 500 flights a week to 18 routes by year-end

Gurgaon-based domestic carrier, Vistara said on Monday that it will grow its fleet to 13 Airbus A320 aircrafts and will operate 500 flights per week to around 18 destinations by the end of this year.
Vistara, which claims to be fastest-growing full service airline in India, also announced special schemes for active as well as retired personnel of Armed Forces and their family members, who fly together on the airline.
In the meantime, the special discounted prices for armed forces has up to 15 percent off on the lowest available fares of economy class, and is offered to all the active and retired personnel of armed forces and for up to three members of their family who are traveling with them on the same PNR.
The armed forces and their family members will also get check-in baggage allowance of 25 kg each on their travel by the airline. The discounted rates are currently on offer for the economy class, and the benefit of discounted fares will further be extended to the business class and premium economy.
Vistara, within a short period of one and a half year, has rapidly extended its network from its hub in the national capital region. Currently, the airline is serving 17 destinations all over the country.
Presently, the airline has a fleet of 11 aircrafts. Meanwhile, achieving a landmark of flying more than 2 million customers, the airline said that it continues its growth trajectory.
