Thanks for an interesting factual letter from the Editor-in-Chief on China. His insights on China are very pragmatic. The story on Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) too was quite informative. Keep up on efforts to boost exports.

After going through the cover story titled “Export Temples of India” published in the August 2015 issue of The Dollar Business, I strongly feel that besides Chikan and Bangle industries of Uttar Pradesh you should have also featured Leather and Carpet industries of the state which contribute immensely to the national exchequer and provide enormous employment and trade opportunities to lakhs of artisans and ancillary industries. Since this issue has already been published, it would be better if you could include both these prominent industries of Uttar Pradesh in one of your forthcoming issues on the same subject.

ED’S NOTE: Kanpur’s leather industry was featured in The Dollar Business’ October 2014 issue.

I was going through the recent issue of The Dollar Business when I came across an article on Indian ice creams’ foreign trade. It’s an informative article. Thanks for the effort to put together the numbers on our category. We have been making export efforts on this category and I am looking to dig deep in this subject. Would you be able to share more information or help us get to the source of more information on this?
