For disseminating information and activities being performed by DGAD (Directorate General of Anti-Dumping & Allied Duties), the Commerce Ministry has launched a dedicated website. The website was launched by the Commerce Secretary Rita Teaotia.

“Rita Teaotia, Commerce Secretary, launched a more informative, user-friendly, dedicated website (http://www.dgtr.gov.in/) for DGAD for disseminating information/activities being performed by DGAD, the Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The Secy also inaugurated the additional office space built by NBCC to meet the needs of enhanced work responsibilities and for ensuring proper functioning of the DGAD, the release added.

Teaotia appreciated the activities of the CVD Cell which was established in DGAD to defend the Indian exporters’ interests against anti-dumping and countervailing duties by other countries.

She also mentioned that the Directorate has constantly raised its work standards. This reflected in the 51 cases of findings, a record number, issued in the financial year 2015-16. In this financial year, the Directorate has issued 18 cases of final findings and three cases of preliminary findings, till date.

The DGAD, in association with WTO Secretariat and Centre for WTO Studies (CWS), has organised a workshop on Regional Anti-Dumping in New Delhi from October 3-5, 2016. This workshop aims to exchange information and views on laws and regulations to remedy trade measures and to increase cooperation in trade.
