WABAG gets WWTP project for Rs.141 cr in Nepal
The Dollar Business Bureau VA TECH WABAG Ltd (WABAG), a leading Indian company in water technology, on Wednesday announced that it has acquired a project for wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Nepal worth Rs.141 crore. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide funds for the project, including its maintenance and operation costs for a 10-year period. “We have kick started the new financial year with an ADB-funded project from Nepal. Our team’s targeted geographies is now yielding good results,” WABAG India Head of Sales, S Natrajan said, in a statement. L&T bags $161mn worth metro project in Saudi Arabia
The Dollar Business Bureau India’s construction giant Larsen & Toubro on Tuesday said that it has won a railway contract worth $161.37 million (Rs.1070 crore) in Saudi Arabia. As part of the project, L&T will build 62.86 kms of double ballastless tracks under tunnel in Riyadh—the capital city of Saudi Arabia. The project is expected to be completed within 40 months. “The order has been won against stiff international competition and is in sync with L&T’s strategy to expand their railway business into the Middle-East,” the company said in a statement. The 75-year-old multinational company has won the order from BACS association (Bachtel-Almabani-CCC-Siemens) to design and build ballastless tracks for Riyadh Metro Lines -1&2. Governments B2B portal expands services to make business easier
The Dollar Business Bureau In an effort to make business process easier in India, the government’s B2B web portal – www.ebiz.gov.in – has included 14 services provided by the Central government to ensure quick and online resolution of issues faced by industries in India. The web portal aims at providing various services of the Central government, State government and government-run bodies through a single window.
